    Octet Rule:

    During chemical reaction, atom may gain, loss, or shared the minimum number of valence electron in order to have the same electron configuration of the nearest noble gas.

    When atom gain or loss electron, atoms will be having positive or negative charges. Positive charged atoms will be attracted by negative charged atom creating an ionic bond.

    Covalent bond are formed between nonmetal elements which shares electrons to have the same electron configuration of the nearest noble gas.
