    If a weight lifter raises a barbell with a mass of 125.7 grams doing 5,023 joules of work, what distance did he move the barbells?

    We have the following data:

    W (work) = 5023 Joule or (5023 kg.m²/s²)

    m (mass) = 125.7 g ? 0.1257 kg

    F (force) = ? (in N or kg.m/s²)

    d (distance) = ? (in m)

    a (gravity acceleration) = 9.8 m/s²

    Let's apply the data to the resulting force formula, let's see:

    F =m*a

    F = 0.1257*9.8

    \boxed{F = 1.23186\:N}\:or\:\boxed{F = 1.23186\:kg*\dfrac{m}{s^2} }

    Applying the Force formula parallel to the displacement, we have the following work:

    W = F * d

    d = \dfrac{W}{F}

    d = \dfrac{5023\:kg\!\!\!\!\!\!\!\dfrac{\hspace{0.4cm}}{~}*\dfrac{\diagup\!\!\!\!\!m^2_m}{s^2\!\!\!\!\!\!\!\dfrac{\hspace{0.4cm}}{~}}}{1.23186\:kg\!\!\!\!\!\!\!\dfrac{\hspace{0.4cm}}{~}*\dfrac{\diagup\!\!\!\!\!m}{s^2\!\!\!\!\!\!\!\dfrac{\hspace{0.4cm}}{~}}}}

    d = \dfrac{5023}{1.23186}\:m

    \boxed{\boxed{d\approx 4077.57\:m}}\:\:\:\:\:\:\bf\green{\checkmark}

    9,8000 N

    The formula for force says force is equal to mass (m) multiplied by acceleration (a). If you have any two of the three variables, you can solve for the third. Force is measured in Newtons (N), mass in kilograms (kg), and acceleration in meters per second squared (m/s²).

    Formula: F = ma

    F = (100 kg)(98 m/s)

    F = 9,800 N or 9,800 kg(m/s²)

    Unbalanced forces can mean two things:

    -that the net force acting on an object is non-zero. or;

    -the state of motion of an object is changing (either accelerating, or starting from rest)

    So the correct choices are:

    The net force is negative.

    The net force is zero.

    The net force is positive.

    There is a change in motion.

    There is no change in motion.

    Acceleration=-1.5 m/s²
    Time= 5 s.

    a =  \frac{vf - vi}{t}
    -1.5 m/s² = (vf-0 m/s)/ 5 s.
    -7.5 m/s = vf

    since we have velocity use the formula of speed/velocity

    v =  \frac{d}{t}
    -7.5 m/s = d/ 5 s.
    d= -37.5 m.
